Ukyou (右叫 (ウキョウ) , Ukyou^?) is the head of the Verdigris House menservants and right hand of the Madam.

Appearance

Ukyou is a man in his 40s, and wears typical Linese clothing.

Personality

Ukyou is quite easygoing and sociable, being fond of children such as Chou-u. He is also perceptive, having given Sazen a meal to eat in order to relax rather than letting him continue to undergo Maomao's interrogation. Maomao compares him to a carrot in contrast to the Madam being a stick.

Abilities

Diligent: As the head manservant, Ukyou is a capable bouncer and has earned the Madam's trust through discretion and dedication to his work.

Background

Ukyou has been employed at the Verdigris House since before Maomao was born.

When Sazen was caught selling encyclopedias in the Royal Capital, Ukyou took him under his care and assigned him menial work to do, to determine if he could become a manservant. Ukyou then accompanied Maomao to treat Zulin, and later carried her back to Maomao's shack for further care.

Ukyou generally helps to look after (and distract) Chou-u in Maomao's absence, or when she has errands to run.

Trivia

• In the anime, Ukyou is seen as one of the victims to Pairin's seductiveness.
