"Festival" is the 43rd overall episode and the 19th episode of the second season of The Apothecary Diaries anime adaptation.

The official anime website and other sources reported there would be a delay from the expected May 16, 2025 premiere to May 23, 2025. The delay appears to be due to Nippon TV needing to show an extended version of their "Friday Road Show" (「金曜ロードショー」, Kinyō Rōdo Shō^?) program. In it's place, AbemaTV will show an interview show titled "The Apothecary Diaries ABEMA Special" (「薬屋のひとりごと ABEMA特番」, "Kusuriya no Hitorigoto ABEMA Tokuban"^?) and featuring seiyuu Takeo Ōtsuka (Jinshi), Katsuyuki Konishi (Gaoshun), and Tatsumaru Tachibana (Basen).

The village holds a festival. Maomao attends, and Shisui introduces some of the village's history to her.

After being kidnapped from the harem, Maomao ends up in a village hidden deep in the forest. A festival is being held in the village, and Maomao and Shisui decide to participate wearing fox masks. On the way to the shrine, Shisui tells her about the local folklore and the meaning of the fox masks. Feeling uneasy about her situation, where she has not been restrained since returning from the festival, and about Suirei and Shisui's behavior, Maomao confronts Suirei about something.
