"Ice" is the 39th overall episode and the 15th episode of the second season of The Apothecary Diaries anime adaptation.

Xiaolan accidentally ruins an expensive block of ice. Maomao comes up with a delicious backup plan.^[3]

Due to Xiaolan's carelessness, the ice that was to be presented to Lady Loulan fell to the ground and broke. In order to help Xiaolan, who was pale and standing there, Maomao came up with the idea of making a substitute for the ice dessert Lady Loulan wanted from the broken ice, but she needed ingredients to make it. Although Maomao had a bad feeling about this, she had no choice but to consult with Jinshi, and he agreed to help her on the condition that "a certain thing" be done.^[4]
