"The Dancing Ghost" is the 38th overall episode and the 14th episode of the second season of The Apothecary Diaries anime adaptation.

Concubine Lishu reports sightings of a ghost in the baths in her pavilion. Maomao goes to investigate.

While accompanying Xiaolan on her pilgrimage to the baths, Maomao hears from Lady Lishu that "a ghost appears in the baths of Diamond Pavilion." Seeing Lishu's frightened state, Maomao tells her to consult with Jinshi, who later orders her to solve the mystery. When she visits Diamond Pavilion to investigate the ghost and hears her story, Lishu says that she saw the curtain of a closed room next to the changing room shaking and a smiling white face. When Maomao begins to investigate the cause, not only the true identity of the ghost but also the problems Lishu is facing at Diamond Pavilion are revealed...
