"Moon Fairy" is the 29th overall episode and the 5th episode of the second season of The Apothecary Diaries anime adaptation.

In order to realize the seemingly impossible request from the foreign envoy, Maomao speaks to the “Moon Fairy” herself.

In order to fulfill the envoy's unreasonable request to "meet the moon spirit," Maomao hears the story of the past from a capable old lady at Verdigris House, a "moon spirit" who has been in the entertainment district for over 50 years. Based on the story and a fantastical painting that the envoy's grandfather had painted after returning to his country, Maomao visits the peach orchard in the harem where the moon spirit is said to have performed a dance. There, she happens to meet Shisui, who has come to catch insects, and while talking, Maomao comes up with a secret plan. Then, on the day of the banquet for the envoy, as the full moon rises, a beautiful moon spirit appears before the envoys.
