"Homecoming" is the 7th episode of the The Apothecary Diaries anime adaptation.

Gaoshun goes to Maomao to get her help in resolving the events of the garden party. Later, Xiaolan explains the purpose of the hairpins Maomao was gifted, and Maomao makes a deal with Lihaku in order to finally visit home.

The day after the Garden Party, Maomao, who was asked by Gaoshun to check the container containing the poison, notices that the maids are bullying Lady Lishu. She also hears from Xiaolan that she can get out of the palace by using the hairpin she received at the Garden Party, and thinks of going home. However, Jinshi, who is troubled by the incidents that occur one after another, has no idea that Maomao is going home...
